PLaMo Translate is a large-scale language model (LLM) developed fully from scratch by PFN with specialized focus on text translation to and from Japanese. The model has been trained on a unique dataset containing a high proportion of both Japanese and English texts to achieve superior quality and accuracy in translations between Japanese and English compared to foreign models. PLaMo Translate features a compact size and highly efficient computational design, making it suitable for on-premise or local deployment. It also provides a browser extension for convenient use.
MiseMise™ (mee-say-mee-say) is a comprehensive operational improvement solution for chain stores that combines DX, AI, and robotics technologies. MiseMise services effectively integrate store operations and merchandising to address challenges such as labor shortages and sales opportunity losses due to stockouts or insufficient product assortments, implementing a plan-do-check-act cycle for continuous improvement.
Matlantis™ is a universal atomistic simulator that supports large-scale material discovery by reproducing new materials’ behavior at an atomic level on the computer. Jointly developed by PFN and ENEOS and provided by a joint venture since July 2021, Matlantis has supported over 100 companies and organizations as a cloud-based software-as-a-service for elucidating material properties and discovering various new materials. PFN develops Matlantis's core technology PFP (Preferred Potential), a universal machine learning interatomic potential.
PFN 3D Scan is an AI-powered 3D scanning service that can digitize a variety of real objects into high-quality 3D data. The technology faithfully reconstruct transparent, black and reflective objects that were hard to 3D-scan with conventional technologies. PFN 3D Scan can be used for e-commerce, metaverse, video production and more. (Available in Japan)
PlantPilot™ is an AI-driven solution trained on plant operation data and expert knowledge, enabling stable and optimized automation even under complex or disturbed conditions. Applicable across a wide range of process manufacturing plants, it enhances operational efficiency and reduces dependence on manual expertise.
Preferred Networks Visual Inspection (PVI) is a software for inspecting industrial parts, food and other manufactured goods with over 200 clients. PFN's proprietary AI model allows users to perform quick, low-cost and high-precision inspection with a small training data of about 100 photographs. (Currently available in Japan)
P-FEP is a service where PFN uses its in-house supercomputer to undertake binding free energy calculations - a critical component for streamlining drug discovery research. Users only need to prepare their own designed ligand compounds (small molecular compounds that specifically bind to target proteins) enabling them to obtain rapid prediction results for binding free energy calculations.
AUTiv® is a robotic system developed by PFN in collaboration with Chugai Pharmaceutical to reduce the burden on both animals and researchers in biomedical and pharmaceutical experiments. It automates the injection of solutions into the tail vein of laboratory mice—a task that previously required skilled manual operation. AUTiv has received the Roche 3Rs Award and the 2023 Japan Medical AI Association Incentive Award.
Playgram™ is a programming education app designed for elementary school students and up. Ideal for complete beginners, the app allows learners to gradually tackle increasingly complex challenges while systematically mastering computer science fundamentals. Developed by PFN engineers, Playgram is currently offered at over 900 classrooms nationwide through the Programming Education HALLO classes managed by a joint venture between PFN and Yaruki Switch Group.
Omega Crafter is an open world survival craft game developed by PFN with a focus on automation. Players can combine blocks with everyday phrases to make Grammi, the protagonist’s programmable sidekicks, to automatically perform in-game tasks such as material collection, city building and farming. The title is designed in a way that anyone can enjoy the benefits and fun of in-game automation regardless of coding experience, with the user-friendly interface from Playgram™, PFN’s programming education app.
Kachaka is an autonomous mobile robot developed and marketed by a PFN group company Preferred Robotics. Currently available in Japan, Kachaka docks to the specialized shelf, flexibly navigates itself according to the given environment and carry things to the specified destination. Kachaka is used in various scenes including factories, warehouses, doctors' offices and home.
